Bloggers Meet in June

There is a saying that there are no strangers here, just friends we have not met yet. How true that is. My ascend into blogosphere was an experiment in putting my story online. What I got was more than what I had hoped to gain. One of the greatest rewards I got from blogging is the friendships that were forged with fellow bloggers and those who read my blog.

For one who is homebound most of the time, I seldom get to go out and get on with people in a meaningful way. Over a span of slightly more than two years since I started putting my life and thoughts in writing online, I have gotten acquainted with more people than I could ever imagine. This is God sent.

My trips to Kuala Lumpur have always been fruitful. I make those trips to be with Wuan first and foremost. We do not see each other as much as we would like to. It is also a good way to test my independence away from the places and people that I am familiar with. Travelling alone gave me the opportunity to see the kindness in people who never hesitated to assist me whenever I asked for it.

Those were also a times for me to catch up with friends, most I have met online, some I have never met in real life. Seventeen attended the Bloggers Meet in One Utama. All I met for the first time except Adriene. We got together to pray the Mass at the Cathedral when she was in Penang in December. Since Kenny started #MalaysiaBloggers at DalNet, I have gotten acquainted with many more. Those I would like to meet in real life too.

For this coming trip to Kuala Lumpur, I am calling for a Bloggers Meet again. This in an open invitation to all bloggers and blog readers alike. For those who missed the previous meet, I hope you all can make it for this one. This is a good opportunity to get to know each other better. Details are as below:

  1. The time when the venue the most accesible for me. I’m not there to go.

Well that just sucks bad. Have fun guys.

  2. that’s because you write some of the most touching stories:)

Sounds perfect! I’ll be there, it’s only like 15 minutes from Subang on a Sunday morning as early as that:) Cheers!

OOh!! I’ll pick Penny up. I promised her that.

  3. eh eh…(whispering: a bit expensive la that place-bwahahaha! thanks genie!) ok ok, i’d be there then!

  4. Jayelle,
Those are real life stories. Thanks. Hope to see you there.

    dave,
    Drinks on me, ok?

    Marita,
    There is always another time.

    Leo,
Much honoured that you are going to take leave just to come to the meet. See you real soon.

  5. mystic,
I am expecting you to be there, rain or shine. What is the name of the church?

  6. 10 am 🙁 The annoyingly chirpy birds and the happy cheerful sunshine will take great joy in tormenting me…

but i’ll be there (i hope) (if i can wake up :P)

  7. No way, Jose! Chupa chups are most definitely bad for your teeth! I’d love to met ya but I love my teeth even more…. Hehheh!

  8. percolator,
You can always floss and brush after that. There is this saying: Be true to your teeth and they will never be false to you. But you also need to tantalize your taste buds a little.

  9. PeNNyPupZ,
I will try to compile a list but going by the last meet, many who did not announce their intention to attend turned up anyway. Therefore the list many not be that definitive.

  10. do u think its ok for me to join in? i think i only know yourself and jolene from being a loyal and good blog-reader! 🙂

  11. sHee,
Of course you can join us. This is a social gathering to make and meet more friends. And I am sure the bloggers would like also to meet people other than bloggers. Blog readers like you should come and see for yourselves and put a face to the blogs that they read and get to know the bloggers in a more social setting away from the Internet. This will be a refreshing change from just seeing photos and reading their writings. Would love to meet you too. So do try to make it.

  12. I’ve not been to a bloggers meet in KL, so I’d like to join this one. See you guys there!

  13. hey peter,

i might not be able to attend due to some (to-be) ‘unavoidable circumstances’. my apologies in advance if i’m not able to make it. mintak manyak maaf ya.

  14. Sheesh, I’m in 2 minds about meeting up with fellow bloggers or remaining anonymous.

Regretfully, at this juncture, I think anonymity prevails. :p

    Have a blast, though!

  15. Kris,
    Looking forward to meeting you.

    dave,
No problem. What about the PPS Gathering?

    Blabarella,

    Leo,

  16. Peter:

    In any case, I’ll see u Sunday-rain or shine..hehee as u expected me to…hehe

  17. Oh man, I missed it. I came back from Germany on Sat, and didn’t access the computer until yesterday – and only read about this today. Pity – would have loved to be there, would have loved to meet you again. But not too worry – there is always another time, another meeting to look forward to 🙂

  18. Andreas,
Glad to know that you are back again. We surely will meet during the PPS bash.
