From Heat to Haze

When the plane touched down at the Penang International Airport yesterday a wonderful soothing feeling coursed through me. It was good to be on home ground again after being away for four weeks. After all the discomfort of Kuala Lumpur’s heat, I was looking forward to some cool relief. Our nostrils were greeted by a familiar rank odour as we soon as we stepped out from the terminal. We looked around but Peter was nowhere in sight yet. Only then did we realise what that offensive odour was. Haze was back and in full force.
