Love Thy Neighbour - The Closure

When my neighbour’s father saw me just now, he apologised for his daughter’s outburst the other day. Although I had not expected nor desired an apology, it was a nice gesture. He went on to explain that she was in a foul mood the other day and that he also understood why I had asked them to change pots. He kept apologising but I told him it was not necessary and to let bygones be bygones. I am glad this matter has been put to rest. A long drawn-out hostility would have made it unpleasant for everyone. Resolving disagreements in a neighbourly spirit would be to our benefit. I intend to call this place home for a long time and this is the only way to create an atmosphere of harmony.
