No rest for the wicked

And suddenly all became calm. This serenity is unsettling. There is a seemingly lack of purpose after the frenzy of the past few weeks. As I try to figure out what the fuss was all about, I feel a sense of emptiness. Or is that a sense of accomplishment misinterpreted?
