Dell XPS M1330 Extended Warranty Offer
July 4th, 2008 - Friday
Dell offered a 2-year extended warranty after I sent in a email complaining about the problem with the XPS M1330 and I had accepted. The initial offer was a one-to-one exchange for the notebook or a 1-year extended warranty. I am still waiting for the confirmation and further details from Dell.

Great service recovery from Dell.I’m impressed.
Peter:
I am thoroughly impressed too. And what I like most is the onsite service. Now that they have offered an extended 2-year warranty, what can I say? Dell all the way lar.

When computer hardware go kuku, it will be plague with all sort of “bad luck” and no point to fix it. 1 to 1 exchange is the way.
BTW, it is recommended to get 2 years extended warranty, because most notebook only come with 1 year warranty. that will be extra RM500++
Peter:
Yes, the extended warranty is a worthwhile addition to the purchase. It will remove a lot of anxiety, hassle and cost should a major component fail again.
