I remember the last time i went there it was pretty a sad situation with the animals looking that they were under fed! To start with i dont support the idea of a zoo in keeping the animals in captivity for us to go and see em! Imagine us keeping different kind of people of the world in cages so we can go see em at one place! just not rite isnt it? anyway...the least we can do is take good care of em. As far as funds are concerned, if the zoo does a good job..the money will come in as companies will look at it as a good way to channel their csr funds maybe?? I hope someone who is a bit more interested and GENUINE does run it for the sake of the animals :) <strong>Peter: I have the same concerns as yours with keeping animals in captivity but I guess this is a win-win situation for animals that are going extinct or already are extinct in the wild and for people who would not have the opportunity to see these animals in the wild. The money from entrance charges and corporate sponsors are used to protect and maintain them and where they are kept safe from the biggest predators of all - homo sapiens.</strong> I havent been to the zoo in years as well!
