It was with great sadness that I received news from the Xaverian Dispatch mailing list that Father Ben Nieuky passed away peacefully yesterday after a long illness. I had the privilege of meeting Father Nieukey once when I tagged along with Uncle Paul to visit him at the Little Sisters of the Poor Home at Lorong Batu Lanchang. He was an easygoing and jovial man, and always ready with a smile. I am sure his passing will be greatly mourned by many whose lives he had touched in more ways than one. May he rest in peace.
