My Mom would usually tell the cashier, "Look! We did not use the wet towels; it's still in the packing," and the latter would strike off that particular item.

I'm not surprised if the items/dishes mentioned are not complimentary. The restaurants want to serve it and expect the customer to pay it, although if you can show proof that you didn't eat or use it, they'll gladly strike it off the bill.

I agree with you, Peter. It's either we tell the servers "no" or choose not to use/eat the items/dishes provided.

Peter:
I usually tell the servers I do not need those extras. I just want to eat what I ordered, and nothing else.

I agree with u bro.

Last Saturday when I attended the wedding lunch, we been informed that the 2nd plate of peanuts does not come free. it comes with a price tag. Said that additional peanuts are chargeable. It meant for the waiters/waitresses commission/tips.

Peter:
Patrons should be given a choice whether to tip or not instead of quietly inserting that into the bill. What if the service was bad and I do not want to tip?
