I didn't get to taste Yee Sang till I was 39YO. When I was growing up, I never like raw fish. So, I didn't eat Yee Sang. I left Malaysia when I was 18, return many times but never during CNY. It was only a few years ago when I had a chance. I finally tried it. To be honest, I found it to be too sweet. But I liked the crunchies and the shredded vegetables.

Peter:
I like yee sang not because of the raw fish. Rather it is the crunchies and other ingredients, and perhaps the fact that it is available only during the CNY period, that makes it mouthwatering.
