Hello 2011

While 2010 ended very nicely for me, 2011 began with me having to pay nearly RM6,000 in taxes over a misinterpretation of the law on my part, according to the officer at Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri. Ouch! I can literally see my money growing wings and flying out of the window. Good bye Nikon D7000. Good bye AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm. What a start to the new year. This case has been dragging on for the past two years and in a way, I am also glad that the issue has been resolved and I can finally lay this matter to rest once and for all.

  1. Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year. Digital cameras are like PCs. The technology becomes outdated fast. Furthermore, why do we need 14MP camera unless you want to view them on a giant flat screen TV.

    1. Happy New Year, Meng! My point and shoot is dying – hot pixels, buttons not working – need to replace it soon. Looks like that has to wait a while now.

  2. I guess it doesn’t make any different where you live. The government is going to squeeze out all they can of the common citizen. Such is life.
