Many live once and die. Some live and die, and reincarnate many times in one lifetime. These life and death cycles shape our behavior in subsequent incarnations. Some do not. To make a mistake once is forgivable. Everybody makes mistakes. To repeat the same mistake again and again is akin to condemning oneself to the eternal cycle of misery.

In a moment of lunacy, or wisdom, I wrote this, I think. It was in an archived folder from 2003 that I have transferred from one hard disk drive to another over the years as I changed computers.
Do you still get into philosophy like that?
I don’t do it much anymore. Maybe it’s because I know that I can’t change the world.
I didn’t seek to change the world with that. It was a reminder to myself to not make the same mistakes.
