When I first saw the photo below, I thought to myself, “Wow, nice car!”

Then I noticed the signboard with the wheelchair logo behind the car.

I thought to myself, “A disabled person who has made it to be able to afford such a nice car.”

Then I saw that he occupied two parking spaces.

I told myself what an idiotic and selfish disabled person the driver was to deprive other disabled people from using the parking space.

Then I read in Yoon Kit’s blog that the person who parked the car there refused to move the vehicle despite being told that he had occupied parking spaces for disabled people.

*&%$#@. That was all I could think of.

Parking spaces for disabled people are there for a purpose. They are extra-wide to allow the car door be opened fully and a wheelchair placed beside it for the disabled person to get in and out of the car. Regular parking spaces are too narrow for this. Another car parked beside the car of a disabled person in a regular-sized parking space will prevent the car door from being opened fully.

Driver of car BJD 8282. Pray very very hard that you never ever officially qualify to use these parking spaces. It is no fun for a disabled person to travel twenty kilometers to run errands only find all accessible parking spaces taken up by inconsiderate people like you and leaving us no place else to park.

    Malaysia should have laws to punish such people. That is the only way to “ajar” them.

  3. i saw one car park like that at taipan last weekend too… idiot parked in 2 lots, 1 of which was a disabled lot. i took picture & sent it to star thumbnails. if it doesn’t win me rm50, i hope it’ll at least be published for the world to see.

    probably i wouldn’t have minded so much if it was 2 normal lots… but this creature boloted a disabled lot too. wanted to leave a nasty note on the car windscreen, but i didn’t have pen & paper with me…

    I usually occupy two standard parking space to ensure I can get into my car later if no accessible ones are available. People who abuse such facilities can only be taught by having their car tyres clamped and making them pay a fine.

  4. i have seen this happening everytime i am at Tesco … they have disabled spaces and also those for mothers with kids …

    apparently malaysia cant read or even see the signboard or they just dont care …

    Put up a big signboard that says abuse of these parking spaces will incur a fine and see if they can read or not.

  6. Yeah, unfortunately, we do see a lot of drivers in Malaysia who actually wished that they were handicapped. Oh well..

    … or wished to show their ignorance and disdain for disabled people.

  7. Peter, how about seeing if we can shame him by getting it blog all over the world and putting it on facebook – lets make him truly famous as the most selfish and sent it round the world!

    Yes, lets do it. It must have been his wish when he defied Yoon Kit’s advice not to park there.

    Thanks. The issues faced by disabled people need to be highlighted constantly lest it is forgotten which is usually the case when we stop advocating for a few months due to other commitments.

    I guess this car number will forever be etched in people’s mind for all the wrong reasons. 🙂

  10. I suppose you can’t expect much from a guy who drives a Blow Job Dick (8282) cheap jap car.

    I guess he does not know that showing off the wrong way is detrimental to his reputation.
