Toyful Christmas At Mid Valley Megamall 2010

Imagine, being a child, waking up to a Christmas full of toys and more toys. I would have been elated beyond words. That was how I felt when I walked amongst the teddy bears and toy soldiers and snowmen and clowns that was part of the Christmas deco at Mid Valley Megamall. There even was a carousel, Jack-in-the-box and a musical box ballerina. While we were taking photographs at the Centre Court, we managed to catch a dance performance by an elf, clown, toy soldier and ballerina that received warm applause from the shoppers.

An European Christmas At 1 Utama 2010

1 Utama Shopping Centre really outdid itself for the Christmas celebration this year. The LG Oval was turned into a small Europen village replete with life-size houses and shops offering goodies, gifts and deco for the festive season. There was an abundance of potted Poinsettias. Christmas trees gaily decorated with big shiny baubles, ribbons, gift boxes and sparkly fairy lights. There was an air of anticipation and happiness with shoppers busy posing and clicking away on their cameras while others were busy looking for bargains at the shops. The gaiety really got me into the Christmas mood as well.

Christmas Decor At Mid Valley Megamall 2009

The Centre Court in Mid Valley Megamall was decorated with flaming candles and uprooted trees hovering above an empty castle, bare tree trunks standing amongst pine trees decorated with baubles, pine cones and other ornaments. Those conjured up an eerie atmosphere. The theme is “A Magical Christmas”. So, those floating candles were supposed to be magical. The Centre Court was abuzz with shoppers taking the opportunity to have their photographs taken before the castle and Christmas trees. The was a three-storey tall Christmas tree at the North Court and a cage with two reindeers at the East Atrium.

Christmas At The Gardens Mall 2009

The Christmas decor at The Gardens Mall is up. Wuan and I spent some time at the concourse area taking photographs and basking in the festive atmosphere yesterday. The pine trees were gaily decorated with baubles, butterfly cutouts, snow flakes, garlands of ice drops and fairy lights. The colour theme was generally white with the exception of the trees and poinsettias that added splashes of red to break the monotony.

The Christmas theme at 1 Utama Shopping Centre is “The Magic of Christmas.” The center stage at the Oval is decorated with imageries from the popular novel Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. It had with trimmed hedges, giant Queen of Hearts playing cards and the tail of the Cheshire Cat sticking out from rose bushes.
