  1. switch on the air-cond lah, aiyo…

    Peter:
Good idea, if only I have an air-conditioner in my work area. 😀 Besides, with the air-conditioner, my skin will become even drier, especially my palms which makes it very difficult to push the wheelchair. This is one of the problems that people with severe spinal cord injury face. Our body has poor thermoregulation whereby we are comfortable only in a narrow range of ambient temperature.

  2. Drink more water then.

    Peter:
My intake of water is at its optimum. There is a danger of over-drinking in my case. My diet calls for low-protein, low-salt and low-everything-else. Hyperhydration will cause hyponatremia – low sodium in the plasma- which can be dangerous if left untreated. I am going to use the air cooler tomorrow. I hope that will be sufficient to humidify the work area and keep me comfortable. Thanks for the concern.

  3. what about, turning on the aircond and the air humidifier and the same time? would that be of help? my finals are coming very soon, much sooner than i’d like them to. so, maybe during my hols we go yumcha k? hehe. by the way i hate hot weather too. sucks the life out of me and gives me the crappiest moods and the worst headaches ever.

    Peter:
Yes, it does, but the air-coditioner is in the bedroom. I cannot be hiding inside there the whole day.Anyway, the air cooler is running now and it is quite comfortable for the moment. Let me know when you are free for yum cha then. All the best for the exams.
