Antihistamines Equal To Zero Productivity

North-South Expressway

Thanks to the antihistamines that I have been taking for the past few days, my productivity has dropped to almost zero. The drowsiness makes focusing an almost impossible task. I have been drifting aimlessly from doing one thing to another and accomplishing none. Hopefully, the itch that has been plaguing me on and off for the past few months will be reduced to a tolerable level by Friday and does not necessitate further doses of antihistamines.

Wuan and I will be driving back to Penang for me to cast my vote. We will drive back to Kuala Lumpur right after I drop in at my apartment to collect some belongings. I will not be able to drive at this current level of drowsiness. It will be a very long journey if Wuan has to drive both ways. Victor has kindly offered to drive us back but I would not like to impose on him like this. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be fit enough to drive by then.

  1. there are non sedating antihistamines around, like loratadine. it costs more but will be less disruptive to your life. go find out from your regular pharmacy.

    Peter:
Thank you for your suggestion. I believe Cetirizine, which I am taking, is a non-sedating antihistamine. The exaggerated side effects in my case could be due to my renal insufficiency.
