Warning: Spoilers ahead. 🙂

It has been a while since my short attention span was tested to its limits. This second Transformers movie literally got me gripping to my seat and giving Optimus Prime and his merry band of robots my full attention for two hours.

The battle scenes were fast and furious. Bumble Bee was adorable. Devastator was scary. Jetfire the SR-71 Blackbird Decepticon turncoat was magnanimous by sacrificing himself to help Optimus Prime triumph over the Fallen. The twins, Mudflap and Skids, were cute as an ice cream van and hilarious as Chevrolets.

The most memorable character, however, was the radio-controlled toy monster truck, Wheelie, who joined the Autobots after learning from Jetfire that he could actually switch sides. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and is going to watch it again at the cinema soon. Autobots Transform!

Autobots, transform and roll out!

In a while, I will be going to GSC Mid Valley Megamall to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This movie is definitely the one that I had anticipated to watch most this year. I have been a fan of the Transformers since many years ago when I watched the cartoon on television. Of the many different series, I still liked the original best – the one where the Autobots battled it out with the original band of Decepticons on Earth. The first Transformers movie was great. I am hoping to see even more action in this sequel, especially the transformation sequences.

Wuan and I went to watch Monsters vs Aliens at GSC Mid Valley Megamall on Monday. Since we were there, we decided to get tickets for the Transformers movies too. As luck would have it, the twin seats at the locaion we wanted were available. We snapped it up without much thought. Monsters vs Aliens in 3D was unfortunately disappointing. The pace of the movie was slow and did not do justice to the wonders of 3D effects. However, I would love to watch Transformers in 3D.
