While 2010 ended very nicely for me, 2011 began with me having to pay nearly RM6,000 in taxes over a misinterpretation of the law on my part, according to the officer at Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri. Ouch! I can literally see my money growing wings and flying out of the window. Good bye Nikon D7000. Good bye AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm. What a start to the new year. This case has been dragging on for the past two years and in a way, I am also glad that the issue has been resolved and I can finally lay this matter to rest once and for all.

Aiks, sorry to hear that.
What’s the misinterpretation? Can share via MSN or GTalk? 🙂
So you won’t make the same mistake ya. Come.
Ok, find you in MSN. 🙂
Wishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year. Digital cameras are like PCs. The technology becomes outdated fast. Furthermore, why do we need 14MP camera unless you want to view them on a giant flat screen TV.
Happy New Year, Meng! My point and shoot is dying – hot pixels, buttons not working – need to replace it soon. Looks like that has to wait a while now.
I guess it doesn’t make any different where you live. The government is going to squeeze out all they can of the common citizen. Such is life.
It is expensive being alive but then again, our lives are worth much more than that.
