Happy Birthday

Mum would have turned 78 today according to the lunar calendar. The first time that I celebrated Mum’s birthday with a dinner buffet last year turned out to be her last, too. Over one hundred of Mum’s relatives and friends attended. I am glad I did what I did. That was the least I could have given Mum as a sign of my love and gratitude. Today also marks the tenth week of Mum’s demise.

  1. You know what? She’s probably smiling in heaven and telling all her friends and family about you and what a good son you are and how well you turned out!

And although she knows you’re sad, like all parents she hopes that you’ll always remember the good and happy memories. But never let them stop you from living your life.

I would like to think that my dad is in heaven … having a PARTY with all his pals! That’s one great party I hope to join one day … not too soon though! Still got things to do, and people to talk to! 🙂

  2. Affin,
You sure have a way with comforting words. Thank you for always consoling me with your optimism. I cannot ask for more from a person I have not yet met. You must be a real great guy. God bless you.
