We Screamed for Ice Creams

Peter, Wuan and I had a little year-end celebration at Baskin Robbins in Sungai Dua. All their hand-packed ice creams were going for a 31% discount. Really, it was not a good idea eating so much ice cream at one go.

  1. Grace,
Ok, ok. Next time we meet I belanja. Just remember to drink some activated charcoal after that.

Happy New Year to you and Wuan. Incidentally, I was in Phuket with my entire family – wife and 2 kids. Guess, we missed the tragedy by 30 minutes and clearly it was due to my eldest son’s insistence to have ice cream for breakfast at Phuket Central – 20 minutes away from Patong. Never felt so grateful for the twist of things. Each year, I would visit Phuket with my family to celebrate Christmas with my grandmother and family.

Having said that, it was not a good holiday at all – but glad to be penning a few lines after a few days of self reflection. My favorite spot in Phuket was at the seafront…now totally ravaged by the waves.

  3. Jeffrey,
Happy New Year to you too. You have been very fortunate. Good to hear that you and your family are all right. Take care.
