Christmas 2006

Exchanging merry Christmas wishes at a time when tens of thousands of people are trying to cope with the devastation of the floods in the southern states seems out of place. Catastrophes like this are reminders that many things that are beyond our control. It teaches us about humility, empathy and gratitude. There is only so much we as humans can do. Man proposes. God disposes. Let’s spare a thought and a prayer for those in Johor, Malacca, Pahang and Negri Sembilan on this holy day of Christmas. May their days be safe and their nights warm. May God have mercy on us all.
