Wedding Tea Ceremony – The Elders
Tuesday, September 1st, 2009Wuan and I had registered our civil marriage in 2007. Many of my relatives in Penang do not know of that. The wedding banquet held recently was to bring our relatives from both sides of the family together, inform them of our marriage and personally introduce ourselves to them. The highlight of the occasion was the traditional wedding tea ceremony that preceded the dinner.
Wuan’s parents who are also my parents now.
Ah Lan Ee – I grew up eating her cooking.
Chit Chek and Chit Chim – 7th paternal uncle and his wife.
Tua Ku and Tua Kim – Eldest maternal uncle and his wife.
Jee Ee – 2nd maternal aunt.
Say Han Ee and Ah Tneoh – Youngest maternal aunt and her husband.

This is one of the few photos taken with the Nikon D60. Our “dear cousin” Harcharan took this after the banquet outside Starview Restaurant. I really like this shot, especially seeing the happy faces of my fellow bloggers. Thank you gals and guys for making our banquet so much more memorable. A Long Overdue Update – Wedding Dinner Preparations
Monday, August 10th, 2009This is perhaps my longest interval for not blogging. With the wedding dinner just five days away, Wuan and I have been busy with errands. Weekends have been spent getting the essential items. Two Sundays ago, we went hunting for Wuan’s evening dress. She got a simple one from Beatrice Looi at Bangsar Village. The weekend just passed, we went to Mid Valley Megamall to shop for my shirt and shoes for the both of us. I had spent the weekdays in between arranging seatings and tables for the 300 guests. That took five days and plenty of headaches. I have done all I can from here. The rest will have to be wrapped up in Penang when we get there.
